A good leader makes sure her staff has all the support they need to do their job effectively and plenty of encouragement to continue developing their skills. A great leader also always remembers she is a role-model and sets the tone for her staff with her attitude and behavior.
Del Mar Hills Academy is fortunate to have a great leader in their principal. |

| Principal Laurie Francis is the PeaceBuilders leader at Del Mar Hills Academy of Art and Sciences. |
Because of her belief that education must remain focused on "the whole child," Principal Francis provides her staff with plenty of opportunities to take advantage of support from PeacePartners, Inc. and from other sources to ensure they have the reinforcement necessary to provide students with PeaceBuilders coaching through lessons and activities.
The cohesive staff at Del Mar Hills is enthusiastic about their work and about the PeaceBuilders program. The children are happy and healthy and excelling in academics and in pro-social skills.
There are many ways to measure success: title, popularity, respect, money, fame - Laurie Francis can measure her success by how happy and fulfilled her staff is and by the outstanding number of well-adjusted, well-rounded, kind-hearted children who learn at and eventually leave Del Mar Hills to spread peace throughout the community.
