National PeaceBuilder |
|
| As our way of honoring PeaceBuilders who go beyond all expectations, PeacePartners, Inc. recognizes several
“National PeaceBuilders” throughout the year. These exceptional people work unselfishly to
build peace in their homes, in their schools and in their communities; and in so doing they make the world a
better place for all of us. Join us in celebrating each and every one of them for their contributions in creating
safer, more peaceful learning environments. |

| Building peace is a powerful, personal journey. Many adults are PeaceBuilders as part of their responsibility
to their school or organization. Some special people, though, go out of their way to be PeaceBuilders role-models
not only at work but after hours. |
 |
| Meet April Major from Vista La Mesa School in Lemon Grove. |
| Ms. Major is a kindergarten teacher; and she also runs the after-school PeaceBuilders club. Everyday, she
shows her PeaceBuilders spirit and her dedication to young people and colleagues alike through positive,
PeaceBuilding interactions and activities. She makes everyone feel safe and included. |
| For April Major, building peace is a twenty-four hour a day responsibility. Whether in her kindergarten
classroom or when working with her colleagues or with children at the PeaceBuilders club, April Major is a
PeaceBuilders role-model. If you want to see a PeaceBuilder in action, April Major is the person to watch! |
