| San Diego County Library - Lakeside, CA |
In the town of Lakeside, PeaceBuilders has spilled over into the community. It began with the elementary schools, which are amongst the most committed of all our PeaceBuilders sites. It spread to middle school, where it is practiced with admirable enthusiasm and used to develop peaceful leadership skills.
PeaceBuilders has infiltrated the annual Lakeside Parade where the schools get together to create a beautiful PeaceBuilders float; and it has become part of many other community gatherings and celebrations.
Recently, as part of their mission to make Lakeside a PeaceBuilders city, the Lakeside branch of the San Diego County Library, has completed a mural that incorporates PeaceBuilders and covers all four walls of their children's reading room. |
