| St. Gabriel School - Louisville, KY |
| St. Gabriel School is situated beside a busy street that runs right through Louisville. Each day many people drive by the school. On International Day of Peace, all the passers-by witnessed a beautiful, peaceful site. |

| The lawn in front of the school was emblazoned with pinwheels that mark St. Gabriel’s participation in the Pinwheels for Peace event. |

| Each pinwheel was uniquely decorated by one of the St. Gabriel’s PeaceBuilding students from kindergarten through eighth grade. |
| Every successful event needs a master mind to organize the details and ensure inclusive participation. We praise art teacher, Cathy Balbach, for being the wise person who coordinated the Pinwheels for Peace event at St. Gabriel. We praise all the staff and students as well for spreading peace throughout their school and their community. An impressive statement in honor of International Day of Peace was made to many Louisville commuters who were treated to a spectacle of peace on September 21. |
